Who We're Looking For
Full-Stack Infrastructure Engineer
We need a generalist who can handle backend (Rust), infrastructure (Kubernetes), and data performance. You're comfortable optimizing distributed storage, debugging WireGuard tunnels, and tuning data access patterns. Experience with distributed filesystems and cross-datacenter optimization is crucial.
What You'll Actually Do
Build Kubernetes operators in Rust. Optimize cross-datacenter data access patterns. Tune distributed storage for hybrid cloud workloads. Debug network latency between on-prem and cloud. Make data access fast when your storage is 100ms away. No narrow specialization - you'll touch the entire stack.
You Should Be
Self-directed and pragmatic. Comfortable with ambiguity. Able to learn new cloud providers quickly. More interested in shipping working code than perfect abstractions. Excited about building something from scratch.
Critical Skills We Need
Deep understanding of Kubernetes operators and CRDs. Performance tuning for distributed storage. Experience optimizing data access across high-latency links. Knowledge of caching strategies, prefetching, and data locality. Ability to make on-prem storage performant when accessed from cloud compute.
